Claims Process
The trail is a wonderful place to be, but every once in a while there are bumps along the way. As hard as we fight against this, there’s always that small chance that a renter might cause damage to your UTV/ATV. If this happens to you, our dedicated claims team will be here to help you get the damage covered and your machine back on the trail in a flash.
Documents needed:
- Signed departure and return forms
- Before and after pictures and video that document the machines condition.
How to begin the claims process as an owner:

Note: Claims must be started within 48 hours after the machine has been returned.
Once a claim has been opened, a dedicated member of our in-house claims team will stay in contact with both the owner and renter through the entire process.
The machine owner will be responsible for getting a quote for repairs through a shop. Once the quote has been provided, our claims team will adjust the claim amount as needed, based on the picture and video evidence of damage along with the signed departure and return forms.
Side By Side Share will act as a mediator between the renter and the owner if there happens to be any conflict. Our goal is to find a resolution that will restore the owner's machine to its condition prior to any damage done during the rental period. It is essential that both the owner and the renter take HD video of the machine at departure in order to accurately document the machines condition before the renter's use.
Once a decision has been made for the claim, Side By Side Share will collect up to the deductible amount from the renter and use the funds for appropriate repairs to the damaged unit. For larger claims Side By Side Share may opt to pay the shop directly.
